Michael Juley ’73 named to Milwaukee Press Club Hall of Fame

Michael Juley ’73, was inducted In October 2016 into the Milwaukee Press Club’s Media Hall of Fame after retiring from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Jan. 1, 2015. He had a 38-year career at The Milwaukee Journal and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel after spending time as sports editor of The Daily Cardinal, as a sports reporter and copy editor for the Wisconsin State Journal, and as a sports and news reporter at the Green Bay Daily News. He regained a connection to the UW-Madison campus seven years ago when he joined the board of the Daily Cardinal Alumni Association. For the last six years he has been in charge of setting up journalism training sessions for the Cardinal staff and mentoring the Cardinal’s editor-in-chief. He is married to Nancy Juley, has two adult children and lives in Greendale, Wis. His daughter, Lindsay, graduated from UW-Madison in 2007.
