Category: Personal

Grant Yun ’18, a UW–Madison alumnus and medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin, is competing across the United States to earn himself a spot at the Paris 2024 Olympics. With breaking — also known as breakdancing — debuting at the Olympics in 2024, competitors across the globe are competing at qualifying events to represent their respective countries. At Freestyle Session USA Finals 2021 that took place July 10 in Orlando, Florida, Grant qualified as one of the top 16 competitors at the event representing all dancers across the nation. With the event created by the help of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), Grant is now one step closer to the final olympic team roster. As he continues his training to become a medical doctor, he will also continue to compete across the nation.
