Category: Career

Bruce Kolinski graduated December 1980 from UW-Madison’s College of Engineering. Bruce submitted a patent application for an alternative geothermal energy technology on May 27, 2009 and was issued U.S. Patent 8,381,523 B2 on February 26, 2013. Bruce began work on this sealed, supercritical, geothermal design concept in 1995 and teamed with a partner in 2007 bringing it to fruition.

This sustainable technology can produce electricity for approximately $0.045/kWh with an environmental emission of nothing more than clean water. No fracking is required; use of corrosive geothermal brines is eliminated; and declining reservoir issues are eliminated as only heat is harvested, whether dry or wet.

Bruce currently resides near Phoenix, Arizona and serves as Z Group Energy’s energy industry liaison.
