Overwhelmed by the number of events on campus for seniors? We thought so. Welcome to the one-stop shop for all events for seniors. If it's happening, it's here!
 

MAY

ACP PHOTO CONTEST

May 1-4: Send your best photos from ACP to hookup@waastaff.com! We'll post them on our facebook for fans to vote on and whichever gets the most "likes" will win a great prize!

I GAVE PLEDGE DAY

May 10: Show off your Badger pride by making a pledge to the division of UW-Madison that means the most to you (school/college, department, 2012 Class gift, etc.). Every gift made between $20 and $200 will be matched by two of the university's most generous alums, John '55 and Tashia '55 Morgridge. Just be sure that your pledge is paid by December 31, 2012, or the match won't apply.

SENIOR PARTY

May 10: Join us on the terrace starting at 2 for ice cream just for seniors, along with performances by some of your favorite student groups. At 3, world renown astrophysicist Neil De Grasse Tyson will give the keynote address. Student ID required. In case of rain all activities will move inside to the Union Theater.

SENIOR PHOTOS WITH ABE

May 11: You've earned the right to participate in the UW tradition everyone looks forward to, taking a picture on Abe's lap in your graduation gown! For just $5 get a professional photo printed on the spot, courtesy of our great friends at Empire Photography! All proceeds benefit the Wisconsin Idea Scholarship.
Noon to 2:30 p.m., Abe Lincoln statue at Bascom Hall
 

FINALS GIVEAWAY!

May 13: Got plans to spend a long night with Helen? We'll be on the first floor of College Library at 6pm giving away water, soda and energy drinks to help keep you going.

NOVEMBER

November 6: A photo with Bucky is on everyone's bucket list, and we've got the hookup for you!

INTERNATIONAL OPEN HOUSE

November 6: Enjoy an ice cream sundae while learning about the awesome events and programs WAA offers international Badgers!

COUNTDOWN TO COMMENCEMENT

November 8: Graduating seniors! You don't want to miss this event - it's the one-stop-shop that'll get you fully prepared for commencement.

FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE

November 13: Financial Independence gives you the tools needed to ride out today's economic roller coaster. As you gear up for graduation, get unbiased financial advice you may not have received in a previous class. Plus, pick and choose the sessions you want to attend, staying for half the seminar or the whole thing.
 

DECEMBER

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT GRADUATION CELEBRATION

December 9: Honor a great instructor, or an inspiring student leader and recognize the academic accomplishments of fellow international graduates!

A HOOKUP WITH HELEN

December 14: Study like a Rockstar at College Library during finals week. We'll provide the energy drinks.

SENIOR PHOTOS WITH ABE

December 16: You've earned the right to participate in the UW tradition everyone looks forward to, taking a picture on Abe's lap in your graduation gown! On December 16 from noon to 2 p.m., we'll have a professional photographer on hand taking your photo and printing it right on the spot for just $5, with all proceeds going towards the Class of 2012 gift! Don't miss your chance to cross this one off the bucket list!

JANUARY

PUBLIC SERVICE FAIR

January 27: Interested in learning about and getting involved with organizations in the government and non-profit sectors? Begin your job, internship or volunteer search, network with organizations, or just start researching organizations and careers. Sponsored by Letters and Science Career Services, the Morgridge Center for Public Service and the Lafollette School of Public Affairs.

CAREER FAIR

January 31: Hundreds of employers from across the country will be at the Kohl Center, and they're coming here with an interest in hiring YOU! Don't miss this excellent opportunity to network and learn more about different companies, you may just meet your future employer!

FEBRUARY

SHOW BUCKY SOME LOVE

February 14: On Valentines Day at UW-Madison it doesn't matter if you're coupled up or single- we're all really just in love with Bucky! Stop by Memorial Union to get your picture taken with your real valentine.

HOT CHOCOLATE GIVEAWAY

February 29: Ever wander across library mall just wishing there was a friendly face around to give you some free hot chocolate? Sometimes dreams come true.

MARCH

PARTY IN PARADISE

March 3: Hosted by the UW Madison Ballroom Dance Association, this hawaiian-themed ballroom dance party will benefit the Class of 2012 gift, the Wisconsin Idea Scholarship. Support a great cause while starting your spring break a little early!

March 19: Got a case of the Mondays? No problem, we've got the hookup. We'll be in the lobby of Social Sciences waiting for you with a hot cup of coffee!
 

DINNERS ON WISCONSIN

March 19-21: This program is a biannual event that invites alumni, UW Faculty, and badger-passionate locals in the Dane County area to open their homes for one evening to 4-10 current undergraduates for a night of conversation about their experiences in the professional world over a meal.
 

DODGE FOR A CAUSE

March 24: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Donate! Rally your friends and help support the Wisconsin Idea Scholarship during this year's Dodge for a Cause Dodgeball Tournament.
 

WAA INTERN APPLICATIONS DUE

March 30: Looking for that perfect internship? The kind that will provide you with great opportunities, experiences and a portfolio that will stand out to future employers? Then look no further - the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) is hiring!

APRIL


BACKPACK TO BRIEFCASE

April 11: Hosted by Connect for Life, this event will include a presentation on the basics of compensation, benefits, insurance and other financial topics. Whether you're graduating this spring or years from now, it's never too early to start thinking about the transition from "backpack to briefcase!"
 

ALL-CAMPUS PARTY
