Two, Four, Six, Eight, Who Do We Appreciate — WAA Members!

All year long, the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) loves its members. We adore them in fact, day in and day out.

But it’s during April when we really show our appreciation for them. What is it about WAA members that make them so special? There isn’t enough room on the Internet to go into every detail. But one thing stands out from the rest: their overwhelming pride in being Badgers. But don’t take our word for it. Hear it in our members’ own words:

“I was part of a few different crowds during my time at Madison [UW Marching Band, Daily Cardinal, WSUM, and Hillel]. But one thing that was a constant in all of my ‘crowds’ was that we were Badgers — and proud of it.”
— Robyn Kaplan Murov’05 | Glenview, Illinois

“My proudest Badger moments came when my children graduated from the university. I didn’t think I would feel such emotion, but watching them receive their degrees reinforced how important the UW was to me. They are a part of the fifth generation of my family to graduate from Madison, so you can see we love Bucky!”
— Connie Schauer Pire ’78 | Brookfield, Wisconsin

From the stories they share to the traditions they continue to carry on, WAA members are a special breed of Badger. To show them how much they mean to us, this April we are sending all current annual and life members a set of personalized mailing labels.

In addition, members are invited to celebrate being a part of this unique UW community at two complimentary receptions: the Varsity Band Concert Preshow Reception (April 15) and the Crazylegs Classic Prerace Social (April 30).

Beyond the special events and giveaways, this is also when we like to remind members of their exclusive, members-only benefits.

In celebration of this Membership Month of the, we say, thanks for the memories!
