On Wisconsin is published four times a year for alumni and friends of the University of Wisconsin–Madison by the Wisconsin Alumni Association, in partnership with University Communications and the University of Wisconsin Foundation. One of the largest-circulation alumni magazines in the country, each issue reaches more than 331,000 readers worldwide. Through this partnership, the UW Foundation provides generous funding for the magazine, and editors, writers, graphic designers, photographers, and production assistants at University Communications and WAA produce the editorial content.
The magazine exclusively for WAA members, Badger Insider offers a glimpse of life through glasses that aren’t rose colored — they’re bright Badger red! Three times a year, Badger Insider brings readers the larger-than-life UW experience, with stories that highlight Badgers who are living the Wisconsin Idea and articles that take readers behind the scenes of their beloved university. Badger Insider’s pages are also filled with the letters, photos, and memories of Badger alumni, and include such popular features as the Bucky List, Ask Abe, and Where’s Bucky — chronicling the travels of the Flat Bucky paper doll.
Meet the young Badger grads who are building tomorrow’s world today. Forward under 40 magazine highlights the accomplishments of the recipients of WAA’s Forward under 40 Award recipients. Awarded each year since 2008, Forward under 40 honors a new generation of UW alumni living the Wisconsin Idea, and the magazine gives Badgers the chance to share in the recipients’ achievements. To order a copy of the latest issue, please contact WAA at 888-WIS-ALUM (947-2586) or email@example.com.
The Flamingle is a weekly newsletter designed to keep alumni and friends tapped into what’s happening at UW–Madison. Created and published by the Wisconsin Alumni Association, it offers UW pride and connection, as well as a digest of news about the campus community. Each issue includes Ask Abe (campus history and trivia), In Case You Missed It (links to current events), the Campus Photo of the Week (a visual connection to UW memories), and a poll or quiz. The Flamingle is sent to all alumni and friends for whom WAA has an email address.
Each year, WAA’s Annual Report recaps the ways in which the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association has worked to advance the cause of UW–Madison: by engaging alumni and friends, raising donations, and stewarding financial resources. The annual report is sent out to a select group of engaged alumni and friends each year. To order your own complimentary copy, please contact WFAA at 888-WIS-ALUM (947-2586) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
