Alumni are on the move, and so is their favorite, flattened Badger. Keep coming back to this page to follow Bucky's travels, and take him along on your own journeys. Send photos to Insider@uwalumni.com.
Nancy Powell sent us this photo of Bucky on the Italian Riviera in October 2005.
Bucky explores the Chesapeake in Norfolk, Virginia, with the help of Lt. Cmdr. Jim Zamorski ’76 and his wife, Donna Jones Zamorski '77. Here, he's pictured in front of the USS Wisconsin.

Here stands Bucky, ready to keep back Genghis Khan and his Golden Horde. Janet DesChenes MBA'06 spotted the badger on the Great Wall of China.
This odd-looking badger must be a distant relative of Bucky's. UW historian and former editor of the Wisconsin Alumnus Art Hove '56, MA'67 spotted him in Japan.
Eric Frodesen '71 spotted Bucky with a traditional fisherman in Yangshuo, China. "Bucky prefers Wisconsin walleyes," says Frodesen, "although the locals cook up what they call a beer fish — fish steamed in beer. I had some, and it was delicious."
And speaking of beer, Bucky seems to have the taste, too. Here he is at Munich, Germany's Hofbrauhaus (which is sort of like State Street Brats, only with cleaner streets and socialized medicine).
Bucky made it to Munich on the sly. He'd stowed away with Pat '74 and Mike '73, MS'76, PhD'78 Mergener when they went on a WAA tour to Europe in fall 2006.
John '57 and Alice '57 Ridge spotted Bucky in Churchill, Manitoba, stalking polar bears — good thing he's got that overcoat.
David McAlees MS'71, PhD'74 stalked Bucky across the Baltic. He caught up to the badger, along with a friendly troll, in Stockholm.
In Bhutan, Jack Feldman PhD'75 found Bucky getting in touch with his spiritual side. He was visiting a stupa (a Buddhist shrine) in a Himalayan mountain pass.
He also spent time with his Sherpa guide, Chencho.
In Prague, Bucky stopped to check the time. Karen Roach '83 snapped this photo.
Susan Okey spotted Bucky by "Touchdown Ignatius" on the Boston College campus in Boston, Massachusetts. Look down by TD Iggie's toes.
Bob and Peggy Schuemann found Bucky on the roof of Africa - on Mt. Killimanjaro.
Should a two-dimensional, mostly-paper badger go swimming? Evidently, the answer is yes. Colleen Forrest '95 spotted Bucky — safely encased in a plastic baggie — somewhere along the Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Australia.
Bill and Anne Gilfrey '54, MD'57 Schierl found Bucky sipping wine on the shores of Turkey.
