Homecoming Charity Run/Walk 2008
Sunday, October 19 - 10:30 a.m. Fun Run; 11:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk
Come join the UW-Homecoming Committee for a 5K Charity Run/Walk to benefit the Dean of Student's Crisis Fund Sunday, October 19.
The adventure begins for kids twelve and under at 10:30 a.m. with a one-mile fun run with Bucky along the scenic lakeshore path.
The excitement continues at 11:00 a.m. with the 5k Run/Walk. The race starts out on Langdon Street in front of the Memorial Union and continues along observatory and the Lakeshore path.
After the race join Bucky for a brat cookout, food, refreshments and awards. Stuffed bags will also be given out to each participant.
Proceeds benefit the Dean of Students Crisis Loan Fund, which is an emergency assistance program that helps students that have an unexpected finanical crisis when their academic contination can be ensured by a small, short-term loan. The money from your registration will go to this fund.
