On Saturday, October 9, 2010, alumni, students and fanatic supporters filled the streets on their way to Camp Randall for the Homecoming game against the University of Minnesota. Anticipation for not only the game, but for the whole weekend's festivities, echoed throughout the streets.
Love for Camp Randall has been growing ever since the Badgers began playing in the stadium in November 1917, and how fans show their support continues to evolve. Traditions, such as the Fifth Quarter event where fans participate in songs and cheers even after the game ends, have been around for decades. Others, like “Jump Around,” where students jump shakily on the bleacher seats to House of Pain’s song Jump Around, have only been around since 1998.
Regardless of how Badgers hoot and holler, it is obvious that Badger pride has been around for decades and will continue to grow with each season and each game.
