Chancellor Carolyn “Biddy” Martin PhD’85 begins her first year as UW’s new campus leader in September. To welcome her properly, the Babcock dairy plant served a new flavor of Babcock ice cream — “Strawbiddy Swirl,” a concoction of vanilla ice cream with strawberry slices, strawberry marble and dark chocolate flakes. Roberta Riportella MS’75, PhD’85 is the director of Covering Kids and Families, a coalition of 65 organizations dedicated to informing eligible Wisconsin residents about BadgerCare, a state-funded medical insurance program.
