Two anonymous donor gifts totaling $20 million will support the East Campus Gateway and a new performance center for the School of Music. The gifts were announced during an “Evening of Celebration,” featuring student performances in music, drama and dance in honor of former Chancellor John D. Wiley.

UW entomology professor Susan Paskewitz conducts “human landing catch” surveys to help determine how many Wisconsin mosquitoes carry the West Nile virus, where they’re breeding and how often they’re biting — essential information for public health officials.

According to a recent survey, nearly 60 percent of UW alumni respondents living in Chicago, Minneapolis, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. would consider moving back to Wisconsin to further their careers.
