Bucky Wagon Goes Green
The Bucky Wagon is undergoing an extreme makeover this year, thanks to faculty adviser Glenn Bower MS’89, PhD’92 and his engineering student teams. The historic wagon will be renovated into an electric-powered vehicle with power hydraulic brakes and power steering. You can follow the renovation and make a donation at the Bucky Wagon blog.A team of scientists led by Kathy Glass PhD’02, associate director of the UW’s Food Research Institute, studies how foodborne pathogens spread through the nation’s food system in search of ways to stop them.
