Hail to the Lady
In a repeat performance of one of the most popular college pranks ever, Lady Liberty resurfaced on Lake Mendota during the Wisconsin Hoofers Winter Carnival in February. Students unearthed the statue’s enormous pieces from storage in the Stock Pavilion and reconstructed the iconic image in honor of its first appearance 30 years ago.
