"UW alumni and friends are excited to welcome Biddy Martin as the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Board of Regents made the right choice for our university's future in confirming her appointment today.
"We're delighted to again have a UW grad as the leader of this great university. Dr. Martin earned her PhD right here at UW-Madison, and she fully understands what it means to be a Badger. As she prepares to begin her new role this fall, we look forward to introducing her to alumni who are making a difference around the globe.
"We hope UW graduates everywhere will join us in welcoming her to campus, and we invite all alumni to remain engaged in the promising future direction of our alma mater."
