MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Alumni Student Board announces its MadLaughs: Comedy for a Cause event to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Madison Avenue, 622 University Ave.
MadLaughs is an annual stand-up comedy event featuring student comedians. Audience members determine the winner of this competition by voting with cash donations for their favorite comedian. The money raised goes to Operation Smile, a charity that works to fix facial deformities in children.
The free event is open to anyone 18 or older, with a valid UW ID. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the show will start at 8 p.m.
The Wisconsin Alumni Student Board is a student organization of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA). WASB hosts events like MadLaughs to fulfill its mission of connecting students past, present and future.
