MADISON, Wis. - A new specialist at the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) is now working to connect University of Wisconsin-Madison graduates with professional opportunities at national and Wisconsin-based employers.
Gina Evans has been named career and corporate relations specialist at WAA, where she will support UW alumni at all career levels in finding resources, colleagues and potential employers in a variety of fields. Evans will also help UW alumni access career advice and networking information through WAA's Badger Career Network and other professional development tools. She began the position on Dec. 3.
"There's a high demand for UW-educated professionals in today's workforce,"Â said Jeff Wendorf, vice president for programs and outreach at WAA. "Gina's human resources experience will help more employers successfully find talented UW grads."
Evans earned her bachelor's degree in history at UW-Madison in 2005. She was previously a benefits communication specialist at Epic Systems Corporation in Verona, Wis., where she managed external contracts, new employee orientation and benefits on behalf of more than 2,800 workers.
