MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) has hired a new director to lead diversity initiatives and outreach to University of Wisconsin-Madison alumni.
Faustina Bohling has been named WAA's director of diversity and U.S. chapters. In her new role, Bohling will work with campus partners and alumni leaders to serve and engage UW graduates and students of color. She will also be a central point of contact for official WAA alumni chapters located east of the Mississippi River. She began her new position on Nov. 26.
"Tina's experience in workforce diversity and employee relations will help WAA improve how we fulfill our commitment to diversity and reach out to alumni across the nation," said Jeff Wendorf, vice president for programs and outreach at WAA.
Bohling was previously an administrative assistant at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), where she helped coordinate programming related to diversity, equal opportunity and career development. She was also a member of WHEDA planning committees on workforce diversity and affirmative action, and developed the agency's internship program.
She earned her bachelor of arts in sociology at UW-Madison in 1999 and is currently pursuing a master's of business administration in human resource management through Walden University in Minneapolis.
Founded in 1861, WAA offers UW alumni and friends a wide variety of services, including the award-winning On Wisconsin Magazine, Badger Insider Magazine, career services, international travel opportunities and lifelong learning events. Learn more at uwalumni.com.
