Topic: Immigration
In part one, you’ll examine how German-speaking immigrants and their descendants have both shaped the North American environment and been shaped by it.

In part two of this three-part lecture series, you’ll explore German dialect and how it’s been interwoven throughout the English we speak in Wisconsin. You’ll find that its presence is still being felt.

During the final installment of this three-part lecture series, you’ll delve into Wisconsin’s folk music traditions and the German roots surrounding it. This series examines how German immigrants shaped the North American environment and were shaped by it.
