Description:
Newspapers in peril, journalists laid off, ethical standards challenged and the economic basis of mainstream journalism collapsing. Is there a future for good journalism amid this media revolution? Stephen J.A. Ward, Burgess Professor of Journalism Ethics, will lead an interactive discussion on the challenges facing the media in our rapidly changing economic, social and technological world. And then he will discuss why there might be reason for optimism even in these trying times. It's a great opportunity for you to engage in the kind of thought-provoking presentation you remember from your days on the Madison campus, enjoy some tasty hors d' oeuvres and catch up with Seattle-area Badgers.
