A Great Example
The Boston Area chapter participates in a program called Community Servings. This program is dedicated to providing free home-delivered meals throughout eastern Massachusetts to people homebound with HIV/AIDS and other acute life-threatening illnesses, who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. The chapter provides their clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, and reaches out to those in greatest need. The goals of Community Servings are to help clients maintain their health and dignity, provide nutritionally and culturally appropriate meals, preserve the integrity of their family, and send the message that someone cares.
The chapter volunteers at Community Serving every third Thursday.
Your chapter can also do great things in your community, there opportunities are out there!
