Guest Speaker: Charles Franklin, Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be discussing, "The Dynamics of the 2008 Presidential Election."

• provide UW-Madison alumni, parents, and students in the area with a local connection to the university.

• serve as a tool for networking in the local job market.

• socialize in the famous Badger tradition!
• assist and support UW student and alumni organizations.
• maintain awareness of legislative developments affecting the university.

The Wausau Alumni Club's board of directors numbers twelve. We meet the first Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon Center (UWMC) in the Library Conference Room. Officer elections (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary) are held in June, effective August 1. Two of our Board members are very active in the Badger Action Network. We are also privileged to have Judge Greg Huber on our Board.

Founder's Day Event is generally held near the end of April and our picnic is held in July. Other events have included co-sponsoring a Wausau Woodchucks Baseball game where Bucky Badger and members of the UW Band have attended. We've also sponsored various Bowl Parties to cheer on the success of the Football Badgers.

We are always looking for new members to share ideas and offer suggestions on new activities. Our club does not charge a fee to become a member, although we strongly encourage you to join the WAA. If you have an idea or a suggestion that you would like to bring to our attention, please feel free to contact one of our board members through email, phone, or attend one of our board meetings. We would like to hear from you.
