Join the Badgers as we cheer on the Milwaukee Bucks or Phoenix Suns at the US Airways Center! Last year at our NBA outing, we had 48 bleacher creatures sign up. This year, if WAA PHX + WAA Tucson can get 100 people to sign up, we will have a Meet and Greet with Badger Superstar Alando Tucker. Also, each guest receives a mini-basketball from the Hoops and Groups table behind Section 207. BADGER FOOTBALL!! Viewing Parties in Phoenix at FANATICS on 32nd & Greenway (NE corner)

All the Wisconsin Badger Football Fans in Phoenix are encouraged to join WAA PHX for Football Viewing Parties. For every game this season! We guarantee game audio and a comfortable place to sit next to dozens of flat screen televisions. Come join us, we will all be there from the 9am kickoff till Jump Around. For Badger Fans, there will be a breakfast menu, drink specials, and occasional free beer. (Yes you read that correctly.) The owner of the bar, Mark Erickson, is a native of Madison. Watching the game with WAA PHX is certainly a better atmosphere than at your home.

About the Chapter

The Valley of the Sun alumni chapter was formed to unite the Badger alumni from the entire Phoenix Metro area. Since the beginning of 2006, the chapter has new leadership under Max Siker and Scott Finkelmeyer. We hope to unite the thousands of alumni in the valley together at future chapter events. If you are interested to get involved or volunteer, please email Max or Scott.

Our mission is to:

  • Create and Sustain a raucous chapter that Wisconsin can be proud of!
  • Cooperate with WAA in promoting the best interests of the university and encourage qualified young people to attend UW-Madison.
  • Support local students attending the UW.
  • Provide UW-Madison alumni, parents, and students in the area with a local connection to the university.
  • Foster fellowship and cooperation among alumni and friends of the UW. serve as a tool for networking in the local job market.
  • Provide leadership in the support of higher education.
  • Socialize in the famous Badger tradition!
  • Assist and support UW student and alumni organizations.
  • Maintain awareness of legislative developments affecting the university.

Give to the UW Valley of the Sun Chapter Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.
