WAA PHX NFL Outing - Pregame House Party Tailgate & Game Tickets

After waiting years, the Green Bay Packers are coming to Glendale for a regular season game. I know the wounds might never heal after that NFC Champions Home Game overtime loss to NYG which cost us the party-of-a-lifetime, but we will make this feel like almost the same! After the AZ Cards ticket office abandoned the "Protect the Nest" program and opened up single game ticket purchase for group sales, I have been processing orders and putting together a monster group.

Thank you for your interest in the Wisconsin Alumni Association Phoenix Chapter - WAA PHX! We have major plans this fall! First, we have a new Badger Den in North Scottsdale chalk fill with HD screens for football Saturdays - TEMPLE BAR SPORTS GRILL! There are zero dues to join and participate in the local chapter WAA PHX. We want as many people to participate as possible and have really enjoyed having great events the past few years!! About the Chapter

The Valley of the Sun alumni chapter was formed to unite the Badger alumni from the entire Phoenix Metro area. Since the beginning of 2006, the chapter has new leadership under Max Siker and Scott Finkelmeyer. We hope to unite the thousands of alumni in the valley together at future chapter events. If you are interested to get involved or volunteer, please email Max or Scott.

Our mission is to:

  • Create and Sustain a raucous chapter that Wisconsin can be proud of!
  • Cooperate with WAA in promoting the best interests of the university and encourage qualified young people to attend UW-Madison.
  • Support local students attending the UW.
  • Provide UW-Madison alumni, parents, and students in the area with a local connection to the university.
  • Foster fellowship and cooperation among alumni and friends of the UW. serve as a tool for networking in the local job market.
  • Provide leadership in the support of higher education.
  • Socialize in the famous Badger tradition!
  • Assist and support UW student and alumni organizations.
  • Maintain awareness of legislative developments affecting the university.

Reception for Coach Bret Bielema & AD Barry Alvarez was a success!

WAA PHX hosted the "Bret & Barry show" on May 5, 2009 - Cinco de Mayo. This was the biggest party we'd had since the Alando Tucker Welcome Party in 2007. Thank you everyone who came to the new Badger Den, Temple Bar in North Scottsdale.

Give to the UW Valley of the Sun Chapter Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.
