Wednesday, August 12 – Twin Cities Movie Screening - BEING BUCKY
Last year a documentary film was produced following the seven men who were chosen to be Bucky Badger at the University of Wisconsin. The documentary follows them from tryouts, to Mascot Camp, and throughout the school year on their various engagements. We are thrilled to announce that the film’s Producer/Director and at least one former Bucky Badger will be joining us in the Twin Cities for an exclusive showing of the film and for a Q&A afterwards! We hope you can join us! Plan to bring the whole family, however, this movie would be rated PG-13 for occasional offensive language.
We have chosen the historic RITZ Theater in northeast Minneapolis. There is a FREE large municipal parking lot as well as plentiful free street parking within one or two blocks.
We have 2 price options available:
**7pm showing: Includes the movie, Q&A afterwards, 1 drink ticket (beer, wine, soda, water) and a light dinner. Cost is $20 for adults, $18 for kids age 21 and under. Doors open at 6pm for food, beverages, and socializing.
**9pm showing: Movie only and Q&A afterwards. (Bar will be open – but it’s cash bar on beverages). Cost is $10 for all ages. Doors open at 8:45pm.
As has been the case in other cities, we fully expect to sell out both shows well in advance and will not be offering walk up sales. Each time slot will hold 230 people. Don’t delay. There is a $2 credit card processing fee PER ORDER – so it is wise to sign up in groups to share that cost.
This show delighted audiences in Madison during the 4-day film festival this past April and has also been to Milwaukee, Green Bay & Chicago. There are several great news articles, video/trailers, and reviews of the movie at this site.
