
Twin Cities Badgers - Second Harvest Volunteers needed April 7, Founders Day Dinner signups and other great upcoming WI Alumni events

1. Tuesday April 7 – Second Harvest Volunteering – 5-7pm – Maplewood.
We are looking for 20 Badger Alums to volunteer their time sorting food donations for SECOND HARVEST in Maplewood on Tuesday April 7. This is a 2-hour commitments – 5-7pm. Volunteers will need to commit to arriving no later than 5pm at their Maplewood facility. Dress is CASUAL (jeans and old shirt) and closed toes shoes (tennis shoes good) are required. Please contact LINDA linda.wandt@genmills.com if you (and family) are able to participate for this 1-time volunteer event. Or if by phone, use 612.823.2119 evenings. Kids must be 16 years old to participate.
2. Swarm Lacrosse game vs New York Titans at Xcel – Saturday April 18 – 7pm
Advance tickets for our group available through Box office (no admin fees). $11 lower level corner seats (normally $22) – section 106. More info on our website www.uwalumni.com/twincities.
3. Saturday May 2 – 5pm - Founder’s Day Dinner at Summit Brewery in St Paul
Don’t miss our Once-A-Year Founder’s Day Dinner/Silent Auction at Summit Brewery! We are thrilled to announce that our featured Speaker from Madison will be Al Fish who will provide a colorful update on construction projects and building history on campus at this time-honored event in the company of other area Badgers. Cost is just $25 (early bird by tomorrow - April 3) or $30 after that and includes complimentary Summit Brewery beverage samples, a fabulous Dinner, Silent Auction and an Annual Chapter Update. 4. Border Battle – Milwaukee Brewers at MN Twins – Saturday May 23 – pregame at 4pm/game time 6:10pm
Join us for this once-a-year Border Battle series at the Dome! $42 gets you: * 1 reserved upper deck game ticket (face value $31) – section 228 (between Home & 3B) * pregame party package at ROSEN’S: voucher for any sandwich or appetizer on menu + free drink (voucher can be used before or after game) * 1 voucher at Dome for hotdog & soda * OPTIONAL Dome Dollars (can be used anytime in 2009 season) - $8 buys you $10 worth of Dome Dollars Value of this package is $53! 5. SAVE THE DATE – Monday June 22 –- Mendota Grid Iron Club & Twin Cities Alumni - Golf Scramble – featuring participation of various Athletic Dept/Football program personnel
Start forming your 4-some’s now if desired (single golfer/pair registration also accepted). Event price will include 18 holes golf/cart, lunch, complimentary beverages on course, participation gift box, BBQ dinner, silent and live auction. The event will be held at New Richmond Golf Course - located in western Wisconsin – about 50 miles from city of Minneapolis. Lunch at noon, Shotgun start at 1pm.
