WAA: Sarasota-Manatee Chapter Scholarships
2006-07 Scholarship Recipient
We are pleased to announce that Mercedes Rae Brown, magna cum laude graduate of the Out-of-Door Academy in Lakewood Ranch, will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison this year with a $6,000 scholarship from our chapter.
Scholarship Chair Suzanne Freund reported that Mercedes has been accepted inot the Honors Program and plans to majro in international business.
We will place special emphasis on raising scholarship funds at our Bratfest and at our Founders' Day dinner. We hope you can help!

Give to the UW Alumni Club of Sarasota/Manatee Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.

Thank you for your continuing support of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Alumni Club of Sarasota/Manatee scholarship program. This year the club awarded $8,334 in scholarships with the help of the UW Alumni Club Matching Dollar Scholarship program and the UW Foundation.
The scholarship recipients are Michael Czaplewski, a junior from Naples; Jason Wojcechowskyj, a junior from Sarasota; and Brett Hill, a junior from Tampa. Jason will be studying abroad second semester so his scholarship is for the first semester only. We wish them the best.
