Chapter Operating Fund
The Rochester Badgers are a relatively small tight-knit WAA chapter and yet we consistently out-perform chapters in areas many times our population in the events we sponsor and opportunities we try to bring to the area's UW alumni. We are the smallest chapter to gain WAA's Bascom Level and we accomplish this all on a relatively small budget. Our operating fund pays for postage and provides the seed money for the events we carry out during the year - our young alumni promotions, our Founder's Day event, and our Student Send-Off.
Up until 2006, we collected dues from our chapter membership. Starting in 2007, in response to direction from WAA, we are dispensing with dues or fees and asking only for donations for our Operating Fund. Donations stay with the chapter and do not go to WAA. Any excess funds left at the end of our fiscal year go directly into our scholarship fund. We suggest a donation of $15, but any amount (over or under) is most welcome. Help keep us going!
