10/8/10:

  • 2010-11 BASCOM CHAPTER For the fourth year in a row, our Chapter has received Bascom level status in recognition of outstanding achievements and service to alumni in Orange County. THANK YOU to all the Board Members, Committee Chairs, and volunteers who contribute endless hours to execute great events, community service, and overall outreach!
  • 2010 WAA Chapter Leader Forum Susie Lynch, Abby Hotchkiss and Amy Jo Pedone participated in an all day conference with Chapter Leaders all over the US. Best practices were exchanged as well as what is up and coming in 2011 with WAA 150th Anniversary.

OC Badgers Board Meeting - 2010 President & Vice-President Elections

  • Miss your Wisconsin experience? Want to reconnect to Madison and OC Badgers? Lead a successful WAA Bascom Level Chapter? President & Vice-President positions are up for election. Questions on this two year commitment, contact any Officer.
  • Qualifications: Member of the Chapter, Strong Leadership Skills, Team Player, Social, Attend Most Chapter Events, Commit to approximately One Board Meeting A Month
  • If interested, you must attend the next OC Badgers Board Meeting on Wednesday, Jan 13th 6:30 PM at iHop (18542 Macarthur Boulevard, Irvine; across from John Wayne Airport). Elections will take place at this meeting.

OC Badgers Board of Directors wants to THANK the following alumns:

  • Ginny Morelock for sewing two banquet tablecloths out of material donated by Marilyn Wittenwyler and David Asahina. The tablecloths are beautiful.
  • Libby Hoeller for the UW-themed merchandise that she arranged for us from Kohl’s.
  • Lou Roberto for all the photographs that he has taken during the football viewing parties.

He's the oldest man to bicycle up Mount Ventoux three times in one day...and he's an OC Badger...Meet Link Lindquest!

Wearing a special jersey which Sho-Air Cycling Club made for Link when he won Three National red, white and blue Jerseys in Louisville, KY at the USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships. The Trophy was presented to him Nov 14, 2009. The trophy reads "Link Lindquist, 2009 Team Velo Sport, Inspirational Rider of the Year". He spoke at the awards banquet and received a standing ovation for his presentation before receiving his award.
