Orange County Student Send-Off Celebration
Each summer alumni chapters across the country hold student send-offs, bringing together incoming students, their parents, and local alumni. For incoming students, it's a day to make new friends, and meet their "fan club" of alumni who reside in their home town. For parents, it's a day to learn about UW-Madison from local alumni, as well as discuss issues and share concerns with other parents. For local alumni who work to raise funds for their local scholarship fund, it's a day to meet and congratulate the students they're helping to support.

Doheny State Beach — Picnic Area #3
Directions: Take the I-5 to PCH/Camino Las Ramblas off ramp (approximately 15 miles south of the El Toro I-5/I-405 interchange). As you exit the freeway, you will come to a fork in the road. Bear right. Travel approximately 1 mile to the second traffic light. Turn left on Dana Point Harbor Drive. Turn left at the first traffic light into Doheny State Beach and look for the UW banners near Picnic Area #3.
Brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, appetizers, salads, desserts, paper goods and utensils will be provided. Please bring your own beverages (alcohol is allowed in the reserved picnic area). Entertainment will be provided by alumni of the UW MadHatters, a premier men’s a cappella group.
This is a free event, but advance registration is required. RSVP by July 12 to Susie Lynch at (949) 643-5303 or ocbadgers@cox.net.

About Us
The objectives of our chapter include promoting the best interests of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, to create a social setting, perform community service and provide a scholarship program to assist students currently attending or interested in attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Get involved, meet new people, help out your community and have some fun!

Give to the UW Alumni Chapter of Orange County Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.
