Dinners On Wisconsin! is a program that invites alumni with a variety of professional backgrounds to share their real world experiences with current undergraduate UW students. As a participant, you will host eight to 12 students in your home, at a local restaurant or at your place of business to engage in casual conversation over dinner. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to network with alumni while exploring future career options in an intimate, friendly and welcoming environment.
10 Things Hosts Should Know:
1. Dinners will be held on a Monday November 16th and Tuesday November 17th.
2. You can choose the time slot of your dinner: 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
3. Dinners generally last no longer than two hours.
4. Transportation will be provided, so students will be brought to your dinner location.
5. In the past dinners have ranged from formal meals in homes to pizza at their workplace. The tone of your dinner is completely up to you!
6. Students are attending this dinner to learn more about your field of study and/or career area. Any advice, experiences or networking opportunities that you provide is greatly appreciated.
7. The cost of dinner is the host's responsibility.
8. You'll be informed of the number of students (usually between 8-12) attending your dinner 4-7 days before the event.
9. Dinners On Wisconsin! has been a success over the past year's because of great hosts like you. We are extremely thankful to the alumni community for their support and generosity.
