ABOUT US


The Big Apple Badgers has been serving the New York metropolitan area for over 20 years.  Our goals are to promote the best interests of the UW-Madison by:

  • Establishing closer contact between the University and the Greater New York City area
  • Encouraging prospective students in attending the UW-Madison
  • Connecting, enriching and serving UW-Madison alumni
  • Working closely with WESAF (Wisconsin Eastern Alumni Scholarship Fund) to award scholarships to local area students attending UW-Madison

Madison Goes MAD: An Evening at the Museum of Arts & Design (MAD)

Come join the Big Apple Badgers for a premier hour-long tour of the Museum of Arts & Design for Badgers only. As part of the Badger hour, we will be getting a not-to-be missed peek at Slash: Paper Under the Knife, an exhibit exploring the remarkably diverse world of paper as a creative medium. This event is made possible though a generous donation courtesy of the Chazens.

Support local students

Give to the Big Apple Badgers Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.

Join Us to Cheer on the Badgers

Join the Big Apple Badgers as they cheer on the Badgers at the Champs Sports Bowl, December 28, 2009.

For the game, the Big Apple Badgers will have a complimentary limited supply of Babcock Hall ice cream.

Regular gameday specials will be offered: wings, brats, curds & more..

Join the Big Apple Badger Board of Directors and commitees by volunteering your time to help plan events and make an impact on the UW Alumni in the New York Metro Area.

 

We hosted kick-off meetings for both the General Events and Community Service/Philanthropy Commitees.  If interested in joining the discussion and being added to our committee e-mail distribution list, please send Erica Lenard an e-mail with the request (including subject line BAB Volunteer) :  ejlenard@gmail.com

 


We are also looking for a Co-Webmaster and Secretary. Anyone interested in being on the Board of Directors in general are welcome to attend our meetings as well.
