WAA: Big Apple Badgers Chapter Founders’ Day

From stem cells and biochemistry to folklore and film history, the University of Wisconsin-Madison has established itself as a leader in research breakthroughs and education. And for more than 85 years, the Wisconsin Alumni Association has hosted Founders’ Day celebrations in honor of these achievements and UW-Madison’s beginnings.

You’ll hear from Michael M. Knetter at this time-honored event in the company of other area Badgers. And because we are proud of our Badger heritage, all it takes is a few verses of “Varsity,” sung with arms waving, to bring the heady memories of college days flooding back.

Founders’ Day 2009 is presented by the Wisconsin Alumni Association in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin Foundation and the Chancellor’s Office.

We are also looking for a Co-Webmaster and Secretary. Anyone interested in being on the Board of Directors in general are welcome to attend our meetings as well.

Support local students

Give to the Big Apple Badgers Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.
