About Us
Our mission is to:
- cooperate with WAA in promoting the best interests of the university.
- encourage qualified young people to attend UW-Madison.
- support local students attending the UW.
- provide UW-Madison alumni, parents, and students in the area with a local connection to the university.
- foster fellowship and cooperation among alumni and friends of the UW.
- serve as a tool for networking in the local job market.
- provide leadership in the support of higher education.
- socialize in the famous Badger tradition!
- assist and support UW student and alumni organizations.
- maintain awareness of legislative developments affecting the university.
In an attempt to reach out to and embrace a more diverse and non-traditional group of alumni, WAA has begun to intensify our outreach efforts to your area. In the future, you will notice increased efforts on behalf of the Wisconsin Alumni Association and UW-Foundation to complement the already ongoing activities of the local UW Alumni Club.
You will notice an increase in the amount of non-traditional events focused on capturing the interest of alumni that have not been involved in the past, or rekindling the interest of alumni which have lost interest.
