Parking Information
As you probably learned during SOAR, parking can be a challenge on and around campus. We want to provide you with a variety of options to help make your time on campus and in Madison easier. More parking information will be available during the registration process.
Some parking permits will be available through UW-Madison Transportation Services. You'll receive a form in your confirmation materials approximately three weeks after your registration has been processed.

Parking on Football Saturday
Football Saturday parking can be even more of a challenge, as spirited Badger fans flock to campus. Several lots have special event rates on campus and in the neighborhoods around Camp Randall Stadium.
City Public Parking Ramps
The City of Madison's State Street Campus ramp is located near the southeast residence halls, State Street and Memorial Union, and is accessible from both Frances and Lake streets.
City and Alternative Transportation Options
Several of the Madison-area hotels have shuttles available for transportation to and from the airport or to campus. Check on the resources available at your weekend hotel for availability, destinations, times and use.
If you are staying at a downtown or campus hotel, walking may be an option.
Madison Metro is the city's public bus transportation system that reaches every corner of the city. Additionally, several routes run through the campus area and are free of charge for patrons.
