Brown County Chapter One of Only 16 to Earn Prestigious Bascom Level Award - Second Consecutive Year!
Sixteen official chapters of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) have earned special recognition for their outstanding commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduates who live across the nation.
The organizations have been honored as “Bascom Chapters” for providing a higher level of alumni service in their communities. Chapters that earn Bascom status receive the highest level of chapter support and recognition available from WAA. The number of Bascom chapters has nearly doubled from 2006, when nine chapters earned the designation.
“Volunteers around the world have formed a network of more than 100 alumni chapters that connect Badgers to each other and back to the UW, no matter where they live,” said WAA President and CEO Paula Bonner. “We’re proud to honor our Bascom chapters for going above and beyond to connect, enrich and serve alumni in their local areas.”
Bascom chapters host traditional events, such as Badger game-watching parties, annual events to celebrate the university’s history — called Founders’ Days — and also serve young alumni and diverse audiences, represent UW-Madison at college fairs, participate in local educational outreach efforts and partner with local organizations.
Chapters that earn Bascom-level designation receive special support from WAA, including a Matching Dollar Scholarship donation, alumni surveys, and eligibility for educational and programming grants that expand offerings to alumni on the local level.

However, the card cannot be used on Badger Bash menu items or any other specials. Membership cost is only $10 with all member sales supporting the Brown County Alumni Club's scholarship program. Contact the Alumni Club or Titletown for more information or purchase a membership at any Badger Bash.
Hendricksons Named 2007 Badgers of the Year
Phil and Betsy, who have been married over 50 years, are both UW graduates. Phil earned a bachelor of arts degree in business in 1941, while Betsy graduated in 1945 with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. The Hendricksons have two children and five grandchildren.
“Phil and Betsy are truly a symbol and reflection of individuals who have used their education from UW-Madison to become strong community leaders to make a difference in our community,” says Steve Pipp, president of the UW Alumni Club of Brown County. “They exemplify everything it means to be ‘Badger of the Year,”’ and we are proud to bestow this honor on them this year.”

Titletown Brewing Company The Official Badgers Game Day Headquarters
Brown County area Badger fans have an official home where they can share in the excitement of UW athletics with friends and local alumni. The WAA: Brown County Chapter has teamed up with Titletown Brewing Company to host Badger sporting events.
If you don’t have game tickets, or if you’re tired of watching our beloved Badgers in the quiet of your family room, your game day worries are over! Thanks to our partnership with Titletown, the Badger faithful now have a place to gather together to sing Varsity, dance to the Bud Song and have fun in the famous Badger tradition. And, Titletown now carries the Big Ten Network.
Badger Game Days include Big Screen TV, Special Badger Bash Menu, Return of "Bucky Punch", Badger Band music and decorations and that special "game day atmosphere"
Please note that these special features may be limited for Badger Saturday night games when the Packers play in Green Bay the next day. The Titletown crowd is at capacity with Packers fans, Badger fans....and even fans of the Packers opponents. But we'll still have a great Badger time so join us anyway!
