Actuarial Alumni Club
Welcome to UWAAC
The University of Wisconsin's Actuarial Program began almost 60 years ago and has grown into one of the top such programs in the nation.
Nearly 1000 of us spent our years on campus as members of the Actuarial Student Club and the actuarial exam study groups.
Now, we come back together in the UW Actuarial Alumni Club to maintain those links to our classmates and provide support for one of the most special programs on campus.
There are no membership fees to join the nonprofit, all-volunteer UWAAC. You merely have to keep your addresses updated to continue receiving club notices and invitations.

Hosting Social Functions
As the only UW affiliate specifically geared for the actuary, UWAAC strives to provide social and networking opportunities for its members by hosting receptions at various locales.
To date, we have focused on the "Big 3" metro areas of Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago, which, together, contain over 40% of our membership.
However, we are always looking to expand our reach to other areas that show a strong interest in the club. Feel free to contact us about your ideas for places and events.

Supporting the Program
UWAAC is also dedicated to preserving the top-notch status of the UW Actuarial Program.
Our current major focus is the campaign to endow the Hickman-Larson Fund to protect the staff from future budget cuts and bids from competing institutions.
Additionally, your Club Board sponsors annual Scholarships presented to select students each spring.
We also work with the Program staff to keep all alumni informed about the annual Actuarial Banquet (spring) and Actuarial Career Fair (autumn). We also assist in the promotion of Student Club events, where appropriate.
We would like to explore new permanent services we can provide to students, including promoting the major to high school students and mock interviews for current students. Please contact us if you have some advice or would like to help.
