Not since 1948 has one person been UW-Madison's football coach and athletic director at the same time. In April, Barry Alvarez will change all that when he takes over the athletic director job from the retiring Pat Richter '64, JD'71. Even as some wonder how he'll manage two demanding jobs at once, the man who resurrected Wisconsin football says he's up to the challenge.
