Cabinet 99
As a WAA initiative, Cabinet 99 strives to create an influential and dynamic network of women to support leadership development, mentoring and advocacy policies and programs affecting women at the university.
Cabinet 99 collaborates with the UW Foundation in sponsoring the biennial Cabinet 99 Symposium, which is held on campus and showcases outstanding women faculty and staff. The 2006 Symposium is scheduled for November 3, 2006.

Leadership
The Faculty Recognition Award is the primary way that Cabinet 99 recognizes and encourages outstanding female faculty and staff leadership.

How to Get Involved
- Attend a UW faculty presentation in your community, such as our annual Founders' Day events. For information on Founders' Day events around the country, contact Joe Hammes at (608) 263-4508 or JoeHammes@uwalumni.com.
- Mentor a new UW-Madison graduate in your area. Register to be a mentor through our Badger Career Network program. You may also contact Amy Manecke '97 at (608) 9074 or AmyManacke@uwalumni.com.
- Volunteer to host a networking event in your home or in your community.
- Encourage high school women you know to consider attending the UW-Madison.
- Encourage a Wisconsin lawmaker to support initiatives for women students, faculty and staff on campus.
