You’re invited to start a new Homecoming tradition, the Alumni Celebration Dinner. The focus of this year’s event is the 50th anniversary of the Five Year Program (known today as the Center for Academic Excellence). This is an opportunity to reconnect with the alma mater that launched successful careers, reminisce about days gone by, and rekindle old friendships. A sociable affair will honor yesterday’s dreams, today’s reality, and tomorrow’s promise, including the resulting Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement, which now guides campus diversity efforts.
This special event will pay tribute to those who have been associated with the program through the years, such as the late Ruth Doyle ’38, James Baugh MA’72, PhD’73 and members of the Five Year Program who’ve realized the promise with lifelong accomplishments. Additional special guests include Chancellor Rebecca Blank, Vice Provost Patrick Sims, and Dean Karl Scholz.
