Madison Founders’ Day Celebration

Be there when Badgers from the Madison area gather to celebrate the first day of classes at the University of Wisconsin, which were held on February 5, 1849. It’s a chance for you to reconnect with other Badgers from your community and to honor the university we all love. Don’t miss this special chance to celebrate with your fellow alumni — because when Badgers gather, it’s sure to be an occasion to remember.

The cost of $25 per person ($20 per person for WAA members; $15 per person for recent graduates from 2008–17 classes) includes hosted beer, wine, and soda with heavy hors d’oeuvres. Limited parking permits are available for purchase ($5) during registration.

The event will begin in One Alumni Place, Below Alumni Center – then move to Alumni Lounge, Pyle Center. Please enter through Alumni Park doors.

Roberto Rivera ’04, an innovative artist and educator who is also a cofounder, the president, and the lead change agent of The Good Life Organization, which supports the positive development of youth.

Craig Werner, the Evjue-Bascom Chair of Afro-American Studies at UW–Madison and a coauthor of We Gotta Get Out of This Place, Rolling Stone magazine’s 2015 Music Book of the Year.
