Thomas Noland Retires

After 25+ years working as a tree biochemistry research scientist at the Ontario Forest Research Institute in Sault Ste. Marie, ON for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Thomas Noland MS’77 retired in December 2016. During his career, Tom produced over 70 publications and 2 book chapters. Remote sensing of forest health using satellite and airborne images and sustainable harvest of Canada yew for production of the anti-cancer drug, Taxol, were two of his most interesting research projects.
