UW-Madison Grad Angela Gustafson wins the NAWBO-MN Achieve! Innovation Award
Minnesota women who are business founders, owners or partners are being recognized for their achievements on December 7 at the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-MN) 40 Years of Achievement Gala Dinner, Founders’ Panel Discussion and Achieve! Awards Celebration. These awards honor the women’s contributions to the local and national economy as well as their support of women-owned businesses. NAWBO member and business owner Diana Pierce, a former TV news anchor, will emcee the event.
“As 2017 marks our chapter’s 40th anniversary as the nation’s very first chapter, we lift up our visionary founders and trailblazers. While we celebrate our past, we also recognize remarkable Minnesota women business owners who are making their mark today and for the years to come,” says NAWBO-MN President Mary Quist-Newins.
One of the Women Achieve! Awards to be presented includes The Innovation Award, which recognizes a woman-owned business with an innovative product or service that shows high potential for long-term success. This award will be presented to two recipients, one of which is Angie Gustafson ’91, Gustola Granola (Minneapolis).
