Politics, Global Affairs & the 2008 Election

Jeremi Suri is a Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Director of the European Union Center of Excellence at UW. He writes and teaches about contemporary politics and foreign policy. He has published three major books, the most recent: Henry Kissinger and the American Century. Jeremi's work has also appeared in newspapers and magazines, including The International Herald Tribune, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Wired. In 2007, the Smithsonian Magazine named Jeremi as one of America's "Top Young Innovators" in the Arts and Sciences.

Jeremi is originally from New York City, but he now considers himself a native of Madison. He loves teaching and talking with public audiences. He is committed to bringing serious ideas into our nation's public discussion, especially as we contemplate our future in a troubled and complex world. Jeremi is passionate about building a better world, and he hopes to work with all of you in this ambitious endeavor.
