College Fairs
One of the Motor City Badgers' key activities is to support students attending UW-Madison from SE Michigan. This starts with getting high school students interested in UW when they attend local College Fairs. Alumni volunteers from our chapter represent the University at these events. Since we cover many fairs during the Spring and Fall College Fair seasons, help is always needed! Please contact Bart Heldke to help out at a Spring or Fall college fair.

We are taking reservations for assistance at these fairs. An alumni recruiting leader will have the information for the fair. Volunteers will be contacted prior to the fair on when to arrive and what they will be doing--handing out literature, answering questions, etc.

Scholarships for UW Students from SE Michigan
We also raise funds for scholarships to award to SE Michigan students attending our alma mater. Your contributions may make the difference in a local student being able to attend UW! Please help by making a donation to the Motor City Badgers Chapter Scholarship Fund. Your donation actually doubles in value, since all funds collected (up to $8,000 annually) are matched by the UW Foundation. Donations may also be tax deductible if you donate through the UW Foundation using this On-line Scholarship Donation Form (Select "Detroit MI Fund" in pull-down).

2009-10 Scholarship Application Process
The Motor City Badgers are pleased to accept applications for chapter scholarships for the 2009-10 school year. Scholarships are open to all full-time UW-Madison students from the Southeast Michigan area. The only exception is students receiving any Athletic Dept. scholarship funds, per NCAA policy.
Last year, the chapter awarded six scholarships of $2,000 apiece to deserving students. We expect to be able to award a comparable amount this year. Applicants are scored on various criteria including scholastic performance, involvement in extra-curricular and community service activities, financial need, and other factors.
Students who wish to apply should download this Application Form, enter the requested data, save a copy in your name, and submit to MCB Scholarship Chair Bruce Pierce.
